How Many Treatments Will I Need?

The amount of electrolysis treatments you need depends on a variety of factors such as how thick or thin your hair is, how quickly it grows back, the pigmentation, and more. So the amount of treatments per person varies. At Spa Venus, we are able to create a customized plan to help effectively eliminate your body hair based on your personal factors!

How Long Does a Session Last?

Each treatment typically lasts from 15 minutes to one hour.

Does it Hurt?

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different. Electrolysis isn’t particularly painful but is somewhat uncomfortable. It feels similar to a heat sensation or a pinch. If you know you’re more sensitive, please feel free to bring some calming music to your treatment! After the treatment, you may experience some tenderness but this subdues within the next few hours. Post-treatment, we recommend you avoid exposure to activities that can irritate or clog hair follicles such as working out, tanning, makeup application, etc.

What’s the Difference Between Laser Hair Removal and Electrolysis?

Both have long-lasting hair removal effects, however, electrolysis is considered to be more permanent. Although laser hair removal is faster because it can target multiple hair follicles at once, electrolysis has overall fewer risks and side effects and does not require long-term maintenance to maintain lack of hair growth.
